The Hyundai Motor Company, founded in 1967 by Chung Ju-Yung in South Korea, was the fifth-largest automotive company in the world in the form of the Hyundai Motor Group (which is partly the South Korean fellow automaker Kia). Hyundai traded in Australia for the first time in 1986 but was established as a wholly-owned subsist of the parent group in 2003 by Hyundai Motor Company Australia (HMCA).
Today’s Hyundai lineup includes 11 models available for customers in Australia, from Hyundai Accent in the city to its 7-seat SUV, Hyundai Santa Fe. A consumer offer – the Hyundai iLoad – is also included in Hyundai’s Australian lineup. Hyundai in the Australian market does not sell a four or two-door utility. The Hyundai Veloster characterise as a ‘warm hatch.’ Still, Hyundai will launch the new i30 generation with two performance models in an effort for the company to enter into the already cut-throw hot hatch market. The Hyundai I30 – the top monthly sales list more than once in front of rivals including Toyota Corolla and Mazda 3 – and the Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Accent are famous Hyundai models.
